Jonathan Coslet

Founder

Jonathan Coslet stepped down as a Senior Partner with TPG in 2025 after a 32-year tenure, having started in 1993 as TPG’s first investment professional. During his tenure from 1993 to 2025, TPG invested approximately $150 billion of capital in over 1,000 private equity transactions. He served as Vice Chairman of TPG from 2021 to 2025. Jonathan was the Chief Investment Officer of TPG from 2008 to 2020 and Managing Partner of TPG Capital, the firm’s flagship private equity fund, from 2000 to 2015. From 1993 to 2007, he led TPG’s efforts in the healthcare and consumer sectors.

He currently serves on the boards of Crunch Fitness and LifeTime. Over his tenure at TPG, he also served on the boards of TPG Inc., Banco Alianza, Biomet, Burger King, Cushman & Wakefield, Endurance Specialty, FIS, Genesis Healthcare, Iasis Healthcare, IQVIA, J.Crew, Magellan Health, Neiman Marcus, Nextracker, Oxford Health Plans, PPOM Health, Petco, Quintiles and Vivra Health.

Jonathan founded his family office, C&S Capital, which focuses on direct investments in Consumer, Business Services, Healthcare, Leisure & Sports, Software, and Real Estate. 

Prior to joining TPG, Jonathan worked at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and previously at Drexel Burnham Lambert, where he specialized in leveraged acquisitions.

Jonathan earned his B.S. in Economics and Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1987, where he was Valedictorian, a Steur Fellow, and a Gordon Fellow. He later received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1991, where he was a Baker Scholar and Loeb Scholar.

Jonathan currently serves on the boards of Stanford Children’s Hospital (Chairman), Stanford Health Care, Stanford Medicine Catalyst Fund, Stanford Medicine Fellows, Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (Chairman of the Policy Impact Committee), and Eastside Prep - East Palo Alto. Jonathan previously served on the Board of Trustees of the Menlo School and on advisory boards for Harvard Business School, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and Hamilton Project.  

The Coslet-Rosner Family Foundation endowed the Coslet-Rosner Pediatric Cancer Research Endowment at Stanford Children’s Hospital in 2024. The Coslet Scholars Fund for underserved students from California provides scholarships to students at the Wharton School and Eastside Prep.

Laura Sims

Senior Partner

Laura (Nisonger) Sims is a Senior Partner of C&S, responsible for day-to-day management of the firm. 

She started her career at Goldman Sachs in investment banking, and has over 20 years of private equity experience, including at TPG (2003-2006) and Sageview Capital (2008-2016) where she was a Partner. 

Laura holds a B.A. with high distinction in Economics and Government from the University of Virginia, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she received the Alexander A. Robichek Award for Outstanding Achievement in Finance.

Laura currently serves on the Board of Directors of Bouldering Project, Dentologie, and Small Door Veterinary, and she is an Observer at Panorama Eyecare.  She also serves on the Board of Trustees of Children’s Day School in San Francisco, where she co-chairs the Advancement Committee.

Laura lives in San Francisco, California with her husband and two children.
